Film Studies Club is where students come to learn and discuss the history, symbolism, themes, and cultural impact of beloved horror films, both historical and contemporary classics, as well as television series based on these same films and characters. I have a PhD in the Philosophy of Religion from McGill University. I have many years of experience teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in philosophy and ethics at university.
Since this club is about understanding the symbolism of scary movies, violence other scary content will be discussed in a very general way (nothing graphic, nothing sensational). The class is academic in focus.
