In this nine-week course, students will learn about decimals, percentages, fractions, statistics, area, and volume.

Students will be able to identify the place value of numbers.
Students will be able to read a number.
Students will be able to write a decimal that they hear.
Students will be able to convert fractions to decimals.
Students will be able to convert decimals to fractions.
Students will be able to talk about percentages and what a specific percentage means.
Students will be able to convert between percentages, fractions, and decimals.
Students will be able to add numbers with decimals.
Students will be able to subtract numbers with decimals.
Students will be able to identify the mean, median, mode, and range.
Students will be able to use charts to find mode, mean, median, and range.
Students will be able to identify open and closed shapes.
Students will be able to define open shapes.
Students will be able to define closed shapes.
Students will be able to define quadrilaterals, parallelograms, rectangles, trapezoids, squares, and rhombuses.
Students will be able to find the area of squares and rectangles.
Students will be able to find the perimeter of squares and rectangles.
Students will be able to solve area and perimeter word problems.
Students will learn how to identify the diameter and radius of a circle.
Students will be able to solve for the area of a circle.
Students will be able to solve for the circumference of a circle.
Students will be able to identify the different types of triangles.
Students will be able to find the area of triangles.
Students will be able to identify vertices, edges, and faces. 
Students will be able to find the volume and surface area of rectangular prisms and cubes.
Students will be able to solve volume word problems.
I have taught numerous online classes. I am a certified special education and elementary education (K-6) teacher.
Homework Offered
I will assign homework if I feel that students are ready to practice independently. Homework will always be optional. I will provide answers for the students to check their work.
Assessments Offered
I will check each student's progress by having them answer questions in the chat or holding up answers on a piece of paper or whiteboard.

I will post worksheets for optional homework. Students may want to print the worksheets to solve the problems.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
I will occasionally share Google Slides with students for them to use to complete math activities in class. I will provide the link for the students. Students do not need an account.

I also use Google Docs and Google Slides to present some of the information in my class. This will be screen shared. 
I have used state and national standards to create a course. This allows for students to be taught grade-level-appropriate material and assures that students are performing at level.
