US Grade 5
In this small group class, students will read, write, compare and round decimals! Students will begin each day with reading notes about the skill, then completing math questions with guidance, and then last will complete math problems independently and share them! Day 1: Students will review place value for whole numbers and also will learn place value for decimals. They will also learn that a decimal is a part of a whole. Next, students will read, write and compare different decimal amounts. Day 2: Students will round decimals to the tenths and hundredths place! They will also review comparing and reading decimals. Students will receive homework on Day 1, a few problems that they should write down. They should bring it with them to class on the second class of the week, thank you!
