In this one-time class, learners will listen to a story about feelings from the Feelings Ninja book and complete an activity about identifying and recognizing emotions.

In this one-time class, learners will listen to the Feelings Ninja story from the Ninja Life Hacks series (commercial license use has been obtained from the teacher). The physical book will be displayed with a document camera. With help from colorful pictures with the story, students will learn how to manage their emotions, but big and small! Students will be exposed to strategies they can use and then will be able to recall and apply those skills on an included worksheet. Students will have the opportunity to take about some of the day-to-day feelings, like feeling angry because you tripped over a sibling's toy, or happy because you are eating your favorite cereal.

Handouts will be available for print. They will also need a pencil or any writing tool they enjoy using.
