Class Experience

Great books engage readers, inspire imagination, and make you feel something! Feel Good Storytime encourages positive feelings, thoughts, and character traits in your learner through stories that touch the heart. Learners can expect to hear the expressive reading of 2 to 3 picture book stories that promote healthy social-emotional development, such as embracing mistakes, making good choices, reflecting on emotions, and caring for others. This class will focus on lessons and observations from the stories, practicing social skills such as listening and participating, and developing social awareness through the character’s adventures and our interactions. Learners are welcome to keep their hands busy with Play-Doh, blocks, fidgets, or whatever helps them, if needed. This class engages in the details of the illustrations and stories and does not alternate reading with songs, rhymes, or other activities. Join us to grow in social-emotional learning and experience the joy of being captivated by a great book.
