Welcome to a fashion class like no other, where love for fashion with creativity, collaboration, and storytelling come together! In this exciting class, students will focus on designing stunning outfits using pre-drawn figure templates provided in class—no need to draw the figures themselves. Together, we’ll explore the world of clothing, costume design, and art history to inspire fresh, innovative ideas. Led by three experienced designers with backgrounds in theater, fashion, and art, this class emphasizes learning about fashion designs and creative exploration. Every student will have the opportunity to create unique designs, showcasing their individuality and creative voice. This class celebrates how every learner can bring something special to the table, turning inspiration into one-of-a-kind designs. Drawing from our professional experience collaborating with teams to create costumes and narratives, we encourage students to contribute their ideas and personal flair. Each week, we’ll dive into a specific fashion style or historical inspiration, breaking down designs into simple shapes and elements that are easy to follow. Themes include: • Victorian Elegance • 1920s Art Deco • Retro Hollywood Glamour • Modern Streetwear • Haute Couture • Fantasy Fashion • Sustainable & Minimalist Design • Street Wear • Anime Style Fashion etc What sets this class apart is the spark of collaboration and art and costume history woven into every session. Drawing from our professional experience collaborating with teams to create costumes and narratives, we encourage students to contribute their ideas and personal flair. We’ll introduce inspiring figures and ideas from the past, carefully selected to ignite creativity and take students’ designs to new levels. Students will gain foundational knowledge about clothing styles, techniques like how to draw ruffles, and insight into how garments evolved over time—from historical eras to futuristic fashion. At the same time, we embrace a modern, forward-thinking approach. Students are encouraged to take these influences and transform them into fresh, innovative designs the world has never seen before. This is about celebrating your learner’s creativity and helping them develop a unique perspective in fashion illustration. Meet Your Instructors: I’m Sanja, the founder of MyArtAcademia, and more than 10 years ago, I co-founded a successful European fashion brand with teacher Jelic, who now teaches alongside me. Our work has received multiple prestigious awards, including the ELLE Award, and we continue to design costumes for movies and theater. Sharing our passion for fashion and creativity with students is one of our greatest joys, and we’re thrilled to guide you on this journey of design and discovery. Join us to embrace your creativity, explore the world of fashion, and collaborate in a fun, supportive environment as we bring your ideas to life!
