25 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
US Grade 8 - 11
**By Request Only** In this 25 minute one-time class, students will learn to make broth using meat or vegetables. I will use power point slides and home made video clips to demonstrate the process. Each learner will have the opportunity to ask questions and share their experience in this topic. We will discuss: - What is broth? - What can broth be used for? - What ingredients are used to make broth? - What materials and safety precautions should be taken while making broth? - What is the step by step process to make broth? - What are the benefits of making your own broth instead of buying it from the store? - How can you preserve a large quantity of broth? After class, students will have access to my full video demonstration to use as a resource if you choose to make your own broth in the future. No prior experience needed! We will explore vegetable broth in addition to meat broths, so learners of all dietary preferences are welcome!
