Class Experience

Chocolate covered pretzels, cute adorable animals, what’s not to love? In this 55 minute class students can make their very own Turkey or Unicorn Treat Jar. We will not only create our jar base for whichever animal you choose, we will also make our chocolate covered pretzels and decorate. The supply list will vary based on your choice. Supervision is suggested since students may need help melting their chocolate as it will get hot and could potentially be a hazard. Also students will work with a hot glue gun to put felt cut outs on their jar. Students should also anticipate a little bit of clean up as we are using sprinkles. I recommend wearing clothes that can get a little messy.

Note: Please contact me directly to discuss parties and scheduling.

Parental Guidance
Parent assistance may be needed with heating up chocolate and dipping pretzels. We will also be using a hot glue gun for our felt pieces and potentially make a bit of a fun mess with sprinkles. I recommend a baking sheet and wax or parchment paper.

scissors
5.6 x 4.8 inch round glass jar (found in floral department) (I'm using 6 inch from Michaels)

Pretzels
White melting chocolate
sprinkles
long pretzels
bubble gum or pastel color candy. I am using these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074HTJQN4/ref=crt_ewc_title_dp_4?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2OCJT6B643ZNH

Note: You can be creative with your jars. I have seen people use Mason Jars. You do want to be careful to have an opening on top where you can get enough pretzels to fit

As a mom of 7, some of my best memories with my kids are craft time. I hope to share this with you all. I have taught for over 20 years and truly enjoy every minute with my students. I attempted to make this class for those that celebrate Thanksgiving, while including those that do not. I recognize that not all of our learners celebrate holidays or choose to celebrate Thanksgiving and I respect that. I do not plan to talk to about Thanksgiving but will let conversations flow naturally with the understanding that all families have different beliefs and different ways of living their best lives.
