In this one-time class learners will make catapults while also exploring force and motion. I will give step-by-step instructions for how to build a catapult as learners follow along and build their own. After their catapults are completed, they will test them using small objects. We will discuss modifications that could be made to make their catapults launch objects further and try out different ideas. This class incorporates problem solving, sharing ideas, experimenting, following directions, and of course, FUN!

Some learners may need parental guidance depending on age and ability.
Supply List
10 jumbo popsicle or craft sticks (6 in x 3/4 in) 5 rubber bands 1 plastic spoon Candy pumpkins (the ones similar to candy corn) Other small objects such as cotton balls, acorns, bouncy balls, lego bricks, etc.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
