Do you love making simple recipes at school or at home? Recipes are a great way for learners to learn how to follow directions appropriately, working on those really important listening skills that will be helpful across all areas of school and home life. In this class, we will use simple techniques to make an individual serving of a mug recipe. NOTE: THIS WILL REQUIRE THE USE OF A MICROWAVE TO COMPLETE THE RECIPES. After we make our recipes, we will have a bit of social time. We will discuss our likes and dislikes in cake flavors and ingredients and make suggestions for how to make each recipe even better. We will also discuss and plan future flavors we would like to try. Recipes will be shared with the group after class. I will guide learners through each step of the directions. I will also be creating the projects and recipes along with the learners, so they will get to see my modeled examples. I encourage active participation and allow questions to be asked throughout the class. During class, I observe all the learners and do several "check ins" to make sure everyone is following along and understands directions. (Please send me a message if you'd like to know which recipe we are currently on for the class you're interested in!) These simple recipes will help your child LISTEN and HAVE FUN in an engaging and accepting classroom atmosphere. I love creating connections with my learners and their families so that they will feel welcome to be "themselves" in our classroom. My online teaching experience spans over the past 3 years where I have taught 1000s of students and lessons. I have taught over 1000 learners on Outschool and counting! I love seeing my "online students" return to my classes!
