In this course, students will explore their inner artist and be introduced to creating zentangles using a fall leaf template. Students will explore using lines, curves, shapes, and other fun doodles to decorate their zentangles. Students will be taught how to contrast dark sections with lighter sections to balance their pictures. Students will be encouraged to draw at their own ability level. Students will discover that anyone can be an artist! Sample zentangle designs will be provided for students to print out and reference, if they wish. Each zentangle will be unique! We will share our zentangle leaves in class with each other! Drawing zentangles encourages flexible thinking, creative thought, and relaxes the mind!

Supply List
Please have students come prepared with the printed zentangle file (preferably on card stock, but paper will work) and markers. They may choose to draw in black and white or in color.
