Class Experience

Hello! Thank you for your interest in "Faisons Une Pizza - Virtual Pizza Making in French." This is a 30-minute beginner French lesson designed to excite students and parents. There is no need to purchase any ingredients or preheat an oven because we will be making a virtual pizza. Rest assured that no sharp tools will be needed for this lesson.

A small class size offered here will allow your child ample opportunity to participate and speak in class. In order to create a safe and positive classroom experience, I will remind each student of "Our Class Rules" on Zoom. Respect is our number one rule. This stress-free, educational and interactive lesson will involve the "I do, We do, You do" method. I strongly believe this method will benefit many second language learners. Throughout the lesson, I will provide support and proper feedback to your child and other students in the class. My main goal is to instill self-confidence while your child learns French as a second language.

I will do my part and I hope your child will do their part too. This is an interactive lesson that will require each student to listen, repeat and apply new vocabulary. I will begin the lesson with "Bonjour _____." (Hello ______.) I will then introduce the target vocabulary which will include: "la sauce tomate" (tomato sauce), "du fromage rapé" (cheese grated), "des champignons" (some mushrooms), "des onions" (some onions), "des poivrons verts" (some green peppers), "le pepperoni" (pepperoni), "le bacon" (bacon), "le jambon" (ham). Students will learn to use two sentence frames to express like and dislike. "J'aime ____ sur ma pizza." (I love _____on my pizza.) and "Je n'aime pas ____sur ma pizza." (I don't like _____on my pizza.) I will end the lesson with "bon appétit" which means enjoy your meal.

I promise this will be a blast for all learners!

If you do not see a time that fits your schedule, please let me know.
