1 hour per week. Fairies are not required to spend any time outside of class for this course unless they want to earn extra badge. During each section, fairies will have the opportunity to earn extra badges. This is completely optional. These badges are ones that are much harder to do in a classroom setting and are well suited for fairies to do in their free time. To earn these badges, fairies must complete the task and upload the necessary materials to the classroom. After that, your badge will be messaged to you. All the PDF’s and directions will be uploaded to the classroom for fairies to download.Certificate of Completion
At the end of each class, Faries will get to put their new badge into their Fairy Scout book to mark the completion of that activity.Class Experience
Welcome to Fairy Scouts. Dress up and come join us while we learn what it means to be a fairy! Each week we will have a fun fairy themed activity that earns you a badge to put into your very own Fairy Scouts book. Fairies are encouraged to dress up if they would like to. Wings, special outfits, crowns and wands are always welcome! In this club we focus on 3 main topics. These will be spread out throughout the 6-week course: 1. Social & emotional skills: Fairies will learn about good decision making, emotional regulation, self-esteem and so much more. We will do this through a variety of games and activities. 2. Crafts & Play: Where we will make things like fairy houses, wands, and fairy dust. We will also have tea parties and play games. 3. Mindfulness: We will practice things like deep breathing, mindful thinking and meditation. Materials: Let’s talk about crafts! This class does require more materials than what you may have at home. When it comes to crafts, I encourage creative freedom. No two fairies’ crafts will look exactly the same. I want crafts to reflect each fairy’s individuality. I also do this so you don’t have a super strict list that you have to adhere to. A welcome guide will be posted in the classroom where you will find a breakdown of all the things required for class each week. For crafts, there will be a variety of photo examples for each craft for a little inspiration. Class Size: Since Fairy Scouts is all about making friends and forming connections, each class will require a minimum of 4 fairies to begin. Classes will be completely full at 6 fairies. After this section is completed, you can continue your journey in the Fairy Scouts - Section 2 class to earn even more badges.
Learning Goals
Social Butterfly Badge - Get comfortable socializing with your peers by sharing something you love during show and share.
Wand Maker Badge - Let your creativity fly while you make your very own fairy wand.
