Welcome to Fairy 101! This class is perfect for kids... - who love fairies! - have a big imagination! - who love to read out loud and perform! On our first day of class we will get to know each other with some introductions and icebreakers. We will talk all things fairies including their origins, the worlds they live in, different styles, and fairies in popular culture. Next we will begin to create our own unique fairies by brainstorming, sketching and discussion. Our second class will focus on the world they live in. We will give our imaginary land a name and begin to figure out how all of the fairies interact with each other and the roles they play in this magical world. As a team we will develop a story together about our fairies. I will take careful notes during our discussions about what we should include in our script, the fairies personalities and more! Before our final class I will post a copy of the final script in the classroom. Each student will have a chance to read over the script and prepare for our read aloud. Our final class we will read our unique fairy story together. Students are welcome to dress up for the read aloud and/or bring any props along. Each story is unique so students may take this class as often as they like! Join us!
