Reading, acting and putting on plays, some of my favorite things to do with young learners throughout my 50+ years in the education field. I've been a teacher, still am, Principal, online teacher of students 4 years old to seniors. My experience has been in the public school arena, in urban and rural settings, in the U.S., Africa, Asia and South America. 

One year when I was a Principal, I performed in the cast of A.R.T., a teacher-based theatre group made of teachers, staff, and yes the Principal, me, who put on plays four times a year for the entire student body. Oh what fun! I also performed the role of the Sugar Plum Fairy in the Nutcracker when I was a young girl and in Oliver when I was in high school. I remember those experiences and your learner will be talking about the roles they played for years to come when they enroll in Fabulously Funny Fairy Tale Plays - So You Thought You Knew This Fairy Tale with me today.

Homework Offered
○ Learners will read/ re-read the assigned fairy tale at home BEFORE coming to class, even if they know the fairy tale already 
○ Learners should practice reading aloud the assigned fairy tale
○ Learners will read the assigned fairy tale and chose a part they want to read in class and be ready to read
1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
