Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 7
Students will learn to ask and answer the question, 'Where is...?", use the verb 'to be at', vocabulary for places and common preposition phrases. Teaching style includes dialogue exchange between student/teacher and student/student as a group, reinforcement activities and games such as matching games and visual/audio input. Videos and writing sheets will be provided for students to practice with in between classes. Writing is in simplified Chinese (used in mainland China, Singapore and Malaysia) but can be provided in traditional Chinese by request.

Previous course content will also be reviewed. Ideally students should already know: How to count, introduce themselves, colors, sensory verbs to see, hear and speak and describe an object using adjectives in Chinese.

Week 1: The verb 'to be at', asking "where?" and places vocabulary
Week 2: "Here" and "there"
Week 3: Preposition words
Week 4: Practice and Review

Nihao! We teach Mandarin Chinese to children and teens using interactive learning and teaching methods. Our teachers are either native Chinese speakers, have an advanced degree in Chinese and experience teaching, or have lived in a Chinese speaking country extensively and have experience teaching Chinese. Our teachers have a wide range of experience that match them to their respective class groups. Our courses include the use of music, technology, games, culture and learning through play. Each course is designed with age-specific targets and resources. Much research and evaluation is continually embedded into our curriculum to make it as effective and efficient as possible. There's always a way to overcome obstacles in learning, especially in language-learning and we embrace the opportunity help students overcome any obstacles they face. We love our students and we're here to help them succeed.
