Level 1 Class Explanation
----------------------------------------
Understanding letters is a crucial step in the journey of learning to read. Drawing from my extensive experience, I've witnessed the effectiveness of incorporating play into early childhood education. This class is designed to make the process of learning letters engaging and enjoyable. Each week, we will delve into a new letter, combining laughter, play, and fun to foster a dynamic learning environment. The ability to recognize and name letters, along with their sounds, significantly influences a child's reading readiness.

Our classes will commence with a lively "hello" song to welcome our young learners. I will then introduce the letter of the week, providing an overview of the interactive games we have in store. These activities include a guessing game, an engaging eye-spy challenge using specially crafted letter slides, and a scavenger hunt where children will seek out items in their homes starting with the letter of focus. In addition to letter exploration, participants will develop essential life skills such as taking turns and speaking in front of a small group.

If time permits, we will conclude each session by reviewing a letter sheet provided for home practice, incorporating on-screen letter tracing. The goodbye song will mark the end of our class.

To extend learning beyond the classroom, I will send home a unique learning sheet corresponding to the weekly letter. These sheets encompass activities like tracing, cutting, and prewriting skills. Additionally, participants will have access to an eye-spy room for continued enjoyment throughout the week.

The overarching aim of this class is for children to seamlessly merge learning with play. The flexible structure allows learners to join or leave at any point, fostering an inclusive and accommodating environment.
