Edgar Allan Poe is famous for this dark, intense writing style, and these poems deal with themes of death, grief, depression, and fear. These poems will be discussed in a manner which highlights the universality of these themes, and the fact that no one is alone in dealing with difficult emotions. Teacher expertise and credentials
I have always been drawn to poetry that packs an emotional punch, and what better example than Edgar Allan Poe? Yet even though his poetry is famous for sending shivers down our spines, how many of us take the time to examine his work closely and figure out what makes his poetry so effective? I hope you'll join me for an in-depth examination of these poems, which I believe makes them even more powerful.
