1 hour per week. All assignments will be checked for correctness. There will be worksheets available. All homework is optional.

Class Experience

US Grade 7
Beginner - Advanced Level
In this ongoing class, teacher will use the Common Core Standards as a guide to teach math topics related to 7th Grade.   In this ongoing course, I will do a quick assessment of each student to determine where they are in their understanding of the concept. 
Class structure: 1) Greetings
                            2) short lesson on the topic (It will be teacher led using a dry erase board/ slide show/ power point presentation)
                            3) Each child will be able to demonstrate their understanding of the topic.
                            4)  Kahoot game/ Blooket game / based on the topic.  Add on are Trivia pursuit or Jeopardy
Due to the fact that this is an ongoing course, students can enroll for additional support and practice. Homeschooled students can enroll for a complete math curriculum. Students are charged weekly and can enroll or unenroll at any time. Each week a different topic will be covered. No topics will build on each other. 
K5 learning website Worksheet (with permission) will be used in the classroom, at times. IXL website with permission will be used. Canva worksheets will be used, as well.

September 2 : Integers ( adding , subtracting with negative numbers)
September 9:  Rational and irrational numbers)
September 16, : adding and subtracting with rational numbers
September 23: scaling factors/ adding and subtracting rational numbers
September 30, 2024: scale drawings
October 7, 2024 inequalities
October 14, 2024: Percent/ Tax/ Tip
October 23, 2024: Complementary / Supplementary Angles/ Adjacent
October 30, 2024: Surface Area / Volume
November 7, 2024: angles and circles
November 14, 2024: probability
