Students will learn about positive and negative space through the creation of their own notan artwork.
Class experience
Students in this class will be introduced to positive and negative space. Class will begin with a short discussion about this element of art, while looking at examples. Next, students will be guided step-by-step to use the concept of positive and negative space in their own notan style (a Japanese art style) art work.
