40 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
Beginning with story time, I will read "The Magic School Bus and the Electric Field Trip." Then with an electricity video clip we will examine the science of how electricity works. We will discuss what is electricity, how it works, and why it is important to learn about. The students will then explore the PhET (University of Colorado Boulder official website) with information and interactive electricity games designed specifically for kids. Finally, I will provide a link enrichment activity for after class to continue the study of electricity. This is a great introduction into electricity, or a good review, for anyone who needs it.

Hello from Texas! Although I am currently residing in Texas, we move quite often and that has allowed me to have many different types of career experiences. I have tutored privately and through well-known organizations; taught in the public school classroom setting with a self-contained classroom (including 4th grade and Texas History); substituted and interned in private school classroom settings; instructed at the community college level (History); assisted with museum operations; and homeschooled my three munchkins. I have worked with early education all the way up to the community college level. My Bachelors is in childhood education with a Master's in American History.
