Gravity is the force that keeps planets in orbit around the sun, governs motion in the solar system, causes tides and keeps our feet on the ground on Earth. This class focuses on understanding the nature of gravity in an applied way.

During the first class session, the basics of the force of gravity are introduced through an engaging presentation. Gravitational force related to space science concepts, such as orbit, satellites, and centrifugal force will be discussed. Learners then apply their knowledge with a guided practice to reinforce main concepts. 

During the second class session, learners calculate their weight and jumping capabilities on other planets', based on their respective gravitational forces. Encouraging learning through movement and using basic math skills, learners may be surprised by their outcome! Learners can share their findings with each other, and the class will compare and contrast different planets of our solar system.
