In this one time class, students will learn about forces and friction in baseball as we take chances and make mistakes with Mrs. Frizzle and the Magic School Bus.
Class experience
Beginning with story time, I will read "The Magic School Bus: Plays Ball- A Book About Forces." "When most classes play baseball, they go out on the field. But that's not what happens when you have a teacher like Ms. Frizzle. In our class, when we play baseball, we go on a field trip!" Then with a video clip from Learning Junction, we will examine forces and friction. We will then discuss examples of forces and friction in the world around us. Hello from Texas! Although I am currently residing in Texas, we move quite often and that has allowed me to have many different types of career experiences. I have tutored privately and through well-known organizations; taught in the public school classroom setting with a self-contained classroom (including 4th grade and Texas History); substituted and interned in private school classroom settings; instructed at the community college level (History); assisted with museum operations; and homeschooled my three munchkins. I have worked with early education all the way up to the community college level. My Bachelors is in childhood education with a Master's in American History.
