Class Experience
US Grade 5
Intermediate Level
In this class your learner will learn all 5th grade Science Common core objectives that are typically covered in the Fall semester. Students will be provided with opportunities to apply their knowledge in various content areas. We will have fun as we dive into the various topics. Students will first be introduced to the material through video content that will be delivered weekly by the teacher. Students will then have the opportunity to participate in interactive activities to help fortify their new knowledge. Students will engage with both the teacher and each other through the use of interactive activities such as: ice breakers, vocabulary games, puzzles, projects, quizzes and brainstorming sessions. A few short written activities will be assigned, with the opportunity for students to receive written feedback. Please come and join us for this fun and enriching class! We will cover all Science content that is typically covered in the 5th Grade Science classroom including states of matter, principles of electricity, and all other content taught during the Fall Semester. This class then continues on to Part 2 which includes Spring Semester material such as weathering, erosion, and deposition. Other big themes include biomes, organisms and their relationships to their environments, and patters of the Sun, Earth, and Moon.
