In this 3-week summer camp, students will learn and master narrative, expository, & persuasive writing by crafting one five-paragraph essay in each essay style. This way they will gain a deeper understanding of the distinct purposes of each type of essay. For example, if a student chooses "adopting pets from a shelter," they could write... 🐶 a narrative essay recounting their own experience adopting a pet 🐶 an expository essay outlining key considerations for potential adopters, and 🐶 a persuasive essay encouraging others to adopt from shelters.
