In this meeting, I will work on an essay with your student to help improve both their grade on the assignment, develop their essay writing chops for future papers, and prevent them from turning to AI or other online materials.

Beginner - Intermediate Level
In this class, your student should bring with them an already-completed essay that they have been assigned for class. In our time together, we will work to improve this essay in a way that teaches your student how to edit essays effectively in the future without turning to AI. We will focus on how to articulate an argument and learn rhetorical skills to strengthen it. We will focus on how to structure an essay in the way that best suits their argument. Finally, we will focus on the mechanics of the essay and any stylistic choices. I have a love for English grammar, so that will be a bog focus in this class. My teaching style is strengths-based, so instead of just working on elements that could use improvements, we will work together to nourish the places in which your student flourishes.
