First, we will enjoy the story together focusing on the core vocabulary and sentence structure using actions and gestures throughout. Next, we will play some simple interactive games to reinforce the new vocabulary. Lastly, if we have time, we will have a sing a long with a simple to learn fun song with actions on the same theme. Some of the storybooks covered in this course, Animals, sizes and characteristics in 'Dear Zoo' by Rod Campbell Transportation and sounds in 'We all go travelling by' by Sheena Roberts Days of the week, food in 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' by Eric Carle Clothes and weather in 'Froggy gets dressed' by Jonathan London Each class will be adapted to the young learners level of understanding during the class and customized there after to the individual learner. I am a very experienced and patient teacher. I believe in lots of positive reinforcement and praise to encourage learning.
Learning Goals
The learning goals for this Tiny Tales class;
Vocabulary Acquisition: Students will expand their English vocabulary by learning the names of various animals, objects or characters featured in the stories, as well as descriptive adjectives and action verbs used in sentences.
Language Comprehension: Through interactive storytelling and engaging activities, students will enhance their understanding of basic English language structures and sentence patterns, reinforcing comprehension skills essential for communication.
Communication Skills: The lesson aims to cultivate students' confidence in using English through speaking and listening activities, so they are familiar with the stories and can retell at home.
