Students will learn and have daily practice with the following information and concepts in English: days of the week, months of the year, how to read and write the date, numbers, colors, shapes, counting, number order, letter names and sounds and rhyming. I will teach from slides to ensure that students can clearly see the information. I will use my hands, facial expressions, voice intonation as well as body movements to both engage and help students to learn and understand what is being taught. I will use chanting, rhyming, singing and a lot of call and response as I teach. Students will constantly interact with myself and their classmates throughout the lesson. This class does not require any prior experience or knowledge from the learners. *Students should be familiar with the letters of the English alphabet as well as their sounds. Other Details
Parental Guidance
This class is interactive and students will have an opportunity to write on the screen at times. It will be helpful if they can access the writing tools from the zoom annotation bar. If this is not an option they can have a paper and pencil or whiteboard and marker handy if they would like to participate in writing activities. If they choose not to write, that is ok as well. I will teach from powerpoint slides that I have created.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
