🌻Welcome to ESL - English with Jasmine Private ESL tutoring will focus on all aspects of English language acquisition, meeting each student at their current level with Jasmine who is a fun, engaging, and enthusiastic instructor. Students will take an English Language Assessment during their first lesson and students will begin learning at their assessed level. There are 16 possible placement levels: Beginners 1 -4 (Grades K-2) Low-Intermediate 1-4 (Grades 1-6) Intermediate 1-4 (Grades 3-8) Upper Intermediate 1-4 (Grades 5-10) The Kid-Inspired curriculum that Jasmine uses is a complete English as a Second Language curriculum that covers phonics, grammar, speaking, writing, reading, vocabulary building, and spelling. The materials are engaging and effect which will help each student make solid progress. Each Unit includes: -Social and Academic Vocabulary -Effective Speaking & Grammar -Leveled Reading Passages -Scaffolded Writing -Engaging Conversation Starters -Helpful Practice Worksheets -Assessments, Standards, and Progress Tracking This class listing offers private lessons once per week. However, there are other options for multiple lessons per week. Please send Ms. Jasmine a message if that is something you are interested in and she can create a section to meet your needs.
Learning Goals
Students will have a customized learning journey that will build confidence as well as proficiency.Students will develop a strong foundation in all areas of English, including phonics, grammar, speaking, writing, reading, vocabulary and spelling, through engaging and effective materials.

Supply List
Learners will be expected to have writing utensils (pencils, colored pencils, eraser, etc.), and a notebook dedicated to this class at every lesson. Note: Some resources and review material will need to be printed.

My name is Jasmine.
I have been teaching on Outschool since 2020, and it has been an amazing journey. I have mainly offered Japanese language and culture courses on Outschool, but am excited to now be offering ESL to English language learners all over the world.
I lived in Japan for over sixteen years teaching English and studying Japanese. I raised my oldest son in Japan until he was ten, and my daughters also spent two years in Tokyo studying in a Japanese elementary school. Not only do I have the experience of learning Japanese as a non-native speaker, but I have also supported my own children on their journey of learning English and Japanese as native and second language learners.
As a life-long learner of Japanese, it gives me so much joy to pass on my passion for language and culture to my students. I am an enthusiastic educator who seeks to get to know the individual interests of my students and as well as their learning needs. Being flexible and having fun while also promoting a high standard of learning are some of my greatest strengths as an educator.
