Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 7
Intermediate Level
🌟 Greetings, I'm Karen Willow, and I'm delighted to welcome you to my Harry Potter book study, a unique one-on-one experience!

▬▬▬▬▬▬ 🧙‍♂️What's on the Curriculum? ▬▬▬▬▬▬
Immerse yourself in the enchanting world of Harry Potter while enhancing your English language skills! Join our unique ESL Conversation Practice class, where you'll engage in one-on-one discussions, reading comprehension, and vocabulary building—all centered around the magical universe of Harry Potter. Through lively conversations about characters, events, and themes from the series, you'll not only deepen your understanding of English but also gain confidence in your conversational abilities. Our interactive class integrates reading, speaking, and cultural insights to make learning English a magical and enjoyable journey. Unlock the door to language proficiency with the wizarding wonders of Harry Potter!

▬▬▬▬▬▬ 📝Class Breakdown: ▬▬▬▬▬▬
Every session commences with a "Get to Know You" conversation, where you and I share our thoughts and opinions on topics inspired by the book series. For example, you might answer a question like "If you went to Hogwarts, which character would be your best friend?" Afterwards, we'll engage in a thrilling challenge to determine the Character & Topic of the Week by completing a famous series quote. We'll then immerse ourselves in conversation about this week's topic. If you're seeking a supportive and engaging platform to refine your debating and public speaking skills, this club provides an ideal environment.

▬▬▬▬▬▬ 💬ESL Students: ▬▬▬▬▬▬
If you're learning English as a second language and are looking for a platform to converse with a native speaker, I've scheduled club times across various time zones, accommodating learners from all corners of the globe.

Learners will be expected to be A2 / B1 (intermediate) English learners. Students should be able to ask questions and answer them with concrete information on topics that are familiar to them. At lower-intermediate level, students can express themselves coherently regarding events, experiences and plans, and justify their decisions on a wider range of topics.
