ESL (English as a Second Language) 1:1 Private Tutoring with Teacher Rosie

Hi there! Welcome to my ESL classroom! I really love teaching English! I speak with a clear Standard British Accent, known as Received Pronunciation. This class is for students (English Language Learners ELL) who are learning English as a Second Language (ESL), English as an Additional Language (EAL) or English as a Foreign Language (EFL). 

In this course, students will work on improving their English reading, speaking, and writing skills through personalized and interactive curriculum-based lessons.  The class is scheduled to meet once a week, with the option for additional classes if requested. 

Learners will take part in a range of activities and play educational games designed to strengthen the essential skills required for success in the English language. Your child will develop their English proficiency through visual aids, themed props, and TPR (total physical response). 

I plan every class with your learner in mind. Whether they're starting to learn English or building on what they know, I'll create a helpful and fun atmosphere that matches their level. The Crystal Clear ESL Curriculum has 8 levels, and each level has 12 units. Each unit contains 6 content lessons, a review lesson, and a unit assessment (8 classes/unit).

You can decide which level you would like your learner to start with. If your child is new to learning English, it is highly recommended for new ESL learners to start from the beginning. I will contact you before the class to learn more about your learner's needs and previous education. We'll decide together which level or unit will be best for your child before the first class. 

First Class:
During the first class, we'll have a practice lesson. Your child may find it a bit easier or slightly more challenging. This session is for me to assess your child and find out what their strengths are in English. We will discuss what your child is really good at and where they can get even better after the class. We'll create a learning plan that suits your learner. If necessary, we can adjust it. This initial evaluation is aimed at gaining a deeper understanding of your child. It provides me with valuable insights that will help tailor their learning experience.
