I will act as a guide throughout the lesson and provide them with assistance in solving the problems if they need it. Students will be encouraged to share how they got their answers. There will also be opportunities for students to share various methods/strategies for how they solved each problem.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Oklahoma Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education
Hello! My name is Eva Zotkin. I am a licensed elementary teacher providing interactive, math based escape rooms and 1:1 elementary math tutoring. I received my degree in elementary education, linguistics and ESL in 2015 and have been teaching in the classroom ever since! I am passionate about providing engaging learning opportunities that inspire students to reach their goals and explore new interests. When is comes to math, I believe there is no such thing as "one strategy fits all." Therefore I introduce students to multiple ways of approaching a problem so that they can decide what works best for them. Escape rooms are one of my favorite ways to engage my mind in something fun and I love getting to see the wheels turn in learners' minds as they work to solve puzzles. I believe that learning should always take place in a low stakes environment where every learner feels safe to make mistakes and learn from others. I have had many opportunities to make mistakes and grow from them as I have pursued my degrees and developed my skills in non-academic settings such as tennis, field hockey and violin. I cannot wait to meet your learner and help them grow! If you see a class and the time offered doesn't fit your schedule, please reach out and request a time! I will do my best to accommodate the request!
