Class Experience
If your learner loves Minecraft and would like to learn a little about history this is the class for them. Every week an era of history will be introduced with a basic overview. Learners will then be asked to create a Minecraft build that represents the time period. The class will start with 10 minutes of discussion about the time period. The learners will then be given 20 minutes to build their era appropriate build. The last 10 minutes will be used to share the learner's builds. This...
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Minecraft contains very little violence, graphic or inappropriate content. There is no blood in the game, however players can hit/kill enemies or animals to survive. The graphics are very cartoon like and minimalistic. Students will be playing on an online server hosted and moderated by the teacher. Students who choose to disrupt the classroom or other learners will be removed from the server. Actions that are not acceptable includes but are not limited to: - Breaking other students/teachers creations - Bad language or cursing - Hacking - Using the game to grief another student
