Environmental science is an interdisciplinary academic field that integrates physics, biology, and geography to the study of the environment, and the solution of environmental problems. Environmental science emerged from the fields of natural history and medicine during the Enlightenment. Today it provides an integrated, quantitative, and interdisciplinary approach to the study of environmental systems. No prior knowledge is required for this class. I will make the relevant class materials available by 12pm GMT/UTC on Monday of each week. This will include videos with lectures on the topics of the week, along with handouts that pertain to these topics. I look forward to interacting asynchronously with my learners in this class.
