Who says having your own business is impossible?! Entrepreneurship can be a tricky subject for many students, but don’t worry help is on the way! For ages 13-17, Entrepreneurship with Coach Nevada is a weekly class helping students to understand business concepts and ownership in the real world! In this fun filled course students will learn to dream big, set goals and take baby step towards a life as their own boss! Entrepreneurship is a 30-minute easy ongoing course. Classes begin daily with an ice breaker and quick introduction of what subject we will be studying for that day. Learners will be able to see my face throughout the class, interact with myself and each other as we talk, laugh and ask questions! No required experience or knowledge needed! Entrepreneurship is a class that introduces students to overcoming their fear of business ownership and realize the benefits. Taught by a business owner and motivational speaker, learning is easy and fun. Class 1) Week of Sept 3: Entrepreneurship 9/3/24 Featured Topics: Who says you can’t Dream BIG? Identifying your interests! Class 2) Week of Sept 10: Entrepreneurship 9/10/24 Featured Topics: Now…..Dream EVEN BIGGER! Mapping out a plan! Class 3) Week of Sept 17: Entrepreneurship 9/17/24 Featured Topics: BIGGER! Mapping out a plan part 2! Class 4) Week of Sept 24: Entrepreneurship 9/24/24 Featured Topics: Uncle Sam wants how much? Understanding why we pay Business Taxes NOTE: Ongoing courses do not have an end date so once the above topics are completed, new topics will be introduced in upcoming weeks. Please note, While I do have a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, this is not in any way a therapeutic class.

Please note, While I do have a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, this is not in any way a therapeutic class. In this class we will work on techniques / strategies that are given in general terms, so children can take these tools and use what works for them.

My name is Nevada Howard, But my learners call me Coach Nevada! For the last 13 years I've worked with youth professionally, as a volunteer, and in my personal life. I have worked with children between the ages of 4 and 18 and I am currently a self employed business owner and youth workshop facilitator!
I love working with children!!!! I have 2 daughters and For 4 years I directed Camp Howard in Milford Mill Maryland, a camp named after myself where I developed a comprehensive curriculum featuring a summer enrichment program, arts and crafts, Spanish classes, bi-weekly swimming sessions, and weekly field trips! I've worked as a mentor, I've taught classes on entrepreneurship, I've taught motivational classes, I've even taught as a substitute teacher in the public school system for 4 years! For a year, I was even the personal assistant of an autistic and blind student.
I am passionate about teaching entrepreneurship and motivational speaking! I want to work with children ages 13-17. As a teacher, experienced business owner and motivational speaker, I know first hand that Entrepreneurship education can help children develop skills that are useful and can last a lifetime including Creativity, Critical thinking, Communication, Leadership, Problem solving and Resilience.

I have run my own business for 20+ years helping others to get "UNSTUCK" and create the life of their dreams! Helped thousands of people overcome obstacles, develop a winning mindset, turn their passion into dollars, and start and/or grow their business. I am also an Influential key note speaker for many marketing groups, Life Insurance Agencies, Life Insurance Marketing Organizations, churches, schools and various other clubs and organizations.
In my spare time I love to dance I love music gatherings but more than anything I love to spend time with my girls! I hope to hear from you soon!
