In this class learners will enjoy visiting the zoo through our computers. We will dance, sing songs, and learn about zoo animals. Dress like your favorite zoo animal if you like. Come with your questions about zoo animals. Share your favorite zoo experience with your friends. Let's laugh, learn and have fun together. 

We will play animal "Dance and Freeze."

We will watch a short video to learn about "wild animals" often found at the zoo. This video will show cartoon pictures of the animals, say their name and the sound animals make. Learners will have the opportunity to repeat the animal sounds and imitate the wild animals.

We will review animal vocabulary - giraffe, elephant, tiger, lion, panda, hippo, monkey, penguin, zebra (and more).

We will watch a few selected clip minutes of "Blippi at the zoo" for learner interest and so they can see video of real animals at the zoo.

We will take turns sharing one thing we learned about the zoo, or one thing we enjoyed about the zoo. Leaners can say their answer or write their answer on the white board if desired.

We will play a game "Who am I? where we will listen to clues about zoo animals and guess which animal it is.

We will finish the class with a "Move like the animals do" song and dance.

Homework Offered
I will provide some worksheets related to the zoo animals we learned about, 2-3 animal crafts you can complete on your own, count the animals PDF and the links for the videos watched in this class. (This can extend the fun and learning at home for an additional 45 minutes).
