This class can be used to achieve one of two things: firstly, you can learn the skills you need to be able to answer English exam questions to gain access to England's High and Grammar schools. The best way of learning is by practice! Here, you will see what the tests look like and practise on past papers in a relaxed, unhurried way. You won't need to worry about getting things wrong on the day of your exam - you'll have learned how to read the papers, how to extract the relevant information from the texts, how to answer the questions, how some questions offer more points than others and how to distinguish between these and the other questions. By the end of the class, you will confidently be able to draw information from a text and relate that information into your answers. 
Secondly, you can use this class as a chance to recap, or expand your knowledge of, specific areas of English you need to practice. It could be that you need to remember what nouns, verbs or adverbs are; you may wish to learn about inference (a vital skill for everyone to learn); or, you may wish to learn about the different forms of punctuation. You decide in advance what you wish to learn during each lesson and I will teach it to you!
