Week 1-2: Advanced Grammar and Syntax • Week 1: Review of basic grammar concepts, introduction to advanced sentence structures. • Week 2: Advanced verb tenses, subject-verb agreement, and parallelism. Week 3-4: Academic and Creative Writing • Week 3: Introduction to academic writing principles, focusing on thesis statements and essay structure. • Week 4: Exploring creative writing techniques, including narrative development and character analysis. Week 5-6: Critical Thinking and Analysis • Week 5: Analyzing literature for themes and motifs, identifying literary devices. • Week 6: Introduction to critical thinking skills, evaluating arguments and evidence. Week 7-8: Effective Communication and Presentation Skills • Week 7: Public speaking techniques, including voice modulation and body language. • Week 8: Crafting persuasive presentations and effective communication strategies. Week 9-10: Literature Appreciation • Week 9: Studying classic literature works, such as Shakespearean plays or American novels. • Week 10: Analysis of contemporary literature and exploring diverse literary voices. Week 11-12: Vocabulary and Idiomatic Expressions • Week 11: Vocabulary expansion through word roots, prefixes, and suffixes. • Week 12: Understanding and using idiomatic expressions in writing and conversation.
As an English teacher/tutor with over 20 years experience, I have enabled many students to have a command of the English Language. My credentials include a Master of Education (M Ed.) degree in English Language, a Bachelors of Education (B. Ed) degree also in English Language and a teaching Diploma in English Language and History
