Class Experience

US Grade 3 - 4
Welcome to English Language Arts: Reading Comprehension - Problems and Solutions!

In this engaging class for 3rd and 4th graders, we’ll focus on enhancing reading comprehension by identifying problems and solutions in stories. Understanding these elements is essential for developing better reading skills, as they help learners follow the action, understand characters' choices, and grasp story resolutions. These skills also support summarizing texts and building critical thinking.

What Learners Will Experience:

🔹 Exciting Introduction: We’ll kick off with a fun video to introduce the topic and spark interest.

🔹 Interactive Learning: Learners will engage in a creative writing activity to get their ideas flowing.

🔹 Reading 1: Learners will watch a video that introduces the text, read the story, and complete a writing activity and worksheet, using a 4-step process to identify the problem and solution. A follow-up video will reinforce these concepts.

🔹 Reading 2: Learners will again watch a short video, read the text, and complete a worksheet to further practice their skills.

By the end of the class, learners will have explored two stories, completed engaging writing activities, and developed a stronger ability to recognize how problems and solutions drive narratives forward.

If you have any questions, please feel free to message me. I look forward to supporting your learner's journey in English Language Arts!
