Suri the Squirrel is stuck on the wrong side of the big 'ole pond! She needs your help to get back across to her home! Unfortunately, she only has a limited amount of supplies in her backpack to use for this invention. Can you help her put them together so that she can get safely back across the pond? This class serves as an introduction to the engineering design process. Learners will brainstorm, collect information, imagine, and plan the ultimate invention for Suri the Squirrel within the class. The goal is that they'll be so enthusiastic about their design, that they'll leave the course eager to prototype, test, and improve their new invention independently.
Learning Goals
Learners will gain a deeper understanding of the engineering design process through this investigation.
