In this one-time class, students will learn and share their knowledge about family Madrigal from the Disney movie Encanto. Families are wonderful even when they're not perfect! We are going to discuss and play a Kahoot game. This Kahoot looks at some of the family relationships shown in the movie #Encanto, and asks players to relate the characters' experiences to their own lives. Students will be able to practice their social skills in this one-time fun game. Each student will be encouraged to answer any of the questions in class about family Madrigal.

What do you need to play Kahoot on Zoom ?
Kahoot requires each player to have their own controller. While the Zoom window will display the game questions, the answers must be input through the controller.
There are two ways to answer questions while playing Kahoot; you can either use a browser to go to the Kahoot.it player website or you can download the free Kahoot app. (Android | iOS) (separate device)
Here is what you need:
The host of the game only needs a PC to share his screen with the rest using Zoom.
The players will need a PC to view the questions (run the video conferencing app), as well as a device to use as a controller (phone).
Note: The players can play using only a PC, but they would have to keep swapping between the questions on the video conferencing app, and the browser. Since the questions have time limits, this method not advised.

Hello! I am teacher Nen, I am excited to teach at Outschool. I have an engineering degree. My passion is MATH and family. I am experienced in tutoring students from K-8. I also have experience in classroom settings and Montessori. I enjoy teaching young learners. I help students to develop interest, curiosity, and confidence with math or basic study skills, I break material down into easy-to-understand concepts. I love helping with homework, lessons, exam preparation, and providing enrichment to students of various levels.
I am comfortable explaining math to elementary students or working with a kindergartener. I am committed to assessing students according to their needs and difficulties and making sure that they can catch up on math topics where they have fallen behind.
I have tutored students working to earn above average in math and turned to excel. I know how important it is to make the student feel relaxed, which in turn helps them become ready to learn.
I find tutoring a rewarding experience. Being part of a student’s success is a priceless accomplishment.
Fun facts about me, I love the outdoor. I love biking with my kids, tobogganing, exploring nature, visiting gardens, and lakes, and most of all I always get excited with giant water slides! :)
