PLEASE NOTE WHILE THIS CLASS OFFERS INFORMATION ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH STRATEGIES, THIS IS NOT A GROUP THERAPY AND PERSONAL EXPERIENCES ARE NOT SHARED. Welcome to our interactive and engaging class designed for learners aged 8-12 who are working on emotional regulation, creating and maintaining friendships, and building confidence. In this class, we focus on teaching evidence-based coping skills and social skills. These skills empower learners to regulate emotions effectively, manage stressors, and foster healthy relationships. Additionally, age-appropriate social skills will be taught through evidence-based curriculums. While learners will not share personal experiences they will be gathering skills to help them through personal experiences. Our class is structured to keep learners actively engaged and involved. Lessons are delivered through a variety of mediums including slides, videos, and kahoots. Learners will remain engaged and excited about their learning journey. Our teaching style is enthusiastic, patient, and passionate. We believe that learning should be enjoyable, and we strive to create a positive and encouraging atmosphere where learners feel motivated to explore new concepts and practice new skills. We value patience and understanding, recognizing that each learner progresses at their own pace, and we are dedicated to supporting their growth and development every step of the way.
