Class Experience

This will be a 4 week course that will break down the advanced skills of basketball. The students will get the opportunity to focus on the technical skills of basketball. This is how I started as a young learner and was able to play in the NCAA and professionally.
The class will begin with a warm up led by myself as I give positive feedback and encouragement to the athletes. Each exercise will be demonstrated by myself with a true breakdown and description. I will be engaged with the students and be teaching about different reads and decision-making scenarios that can take place during a basketball game.

*NOTE 1
This class is always changing and is never the same from section to section so it’s great to take the course multiple times if student feels it’s beneficial. You will learn something new every time!!

Class structure for Athletes:
Ball handling drills:
Learn to dribble with left and right hands equally. Advance dribble combinations such as the speed dribble, crossover, protect-the-ball dribble, and back-up dribble. Small exciting challenges that will increase and encourage these skills. NCAA Division 1 WSU Cone series.
Hand Eye Coordination:
Dribble with eye close challenge. Practice counting while dribble which will engage students focus level.
Defensive/Offensive Footwork:
Amazing footwork drills to improve a low defensive stance and to learn how to attack the basket on offensive. Teaching triple threat positioning, pivoting on their left and right foot without travelling, jump stops, and to square to the basket as soon as they catch the ball in a triple threat position.
Conditioning Drills:
Varies fun/challenging fitness exercises inclusive to basketball which will increase cardio and endurance.

Hello everyone,
I am a professional basketball player with experience playing in such countries as France, Portugal, England, Canada, and China. I am a certified sports coach and obtained my PGC (masters level) in sports coaching in England from Worcester University. I am a former NCAA division 1 Scholarship Athlete. I attended Brewster Academy Prep School, which is the #1 basketball school in America. I won a National Championship there in 2010 and was inducted into the school Hall of Fame in 2019. I have been a basketball coach for ages 4-18 for boys and girls from all around the world throughout the past 10+ years.
I have a true passion to give back to the youth and help the next generation achieve their goals. My philosophy has always been focused on the fundamentals. A win for me is seeing the students progression from where they began. Each student is unique in their own way and it is my job to identify their special gift and help bring it out of them.
A quote I live by is "You have to do something you've never done, to get somewhere you never gone"
I look forward to sharing my experiences and knowledge with you in the classroom.
This class will give you the tools and knowledge to help bring your game to the next level.
