What will be taught? What topics will we cover? How is this class structured? Learners will explore the elements of art. They will create an artwork to explore each artwork individually and the course will culminate in the student creating an artwork that intentionally incorporates the elements of art that they explored. By looking at, creating, and discussing the element we are applying, learners will incorporate new art vocabulary around that element. Learners will share their progress...
Learners will explore and gain a deeper understanding of the seven elements of art and create a variety of artwork to show what they have learned. They will discuss and provide each other with feedback using art vocabulary.
I am a certified art teacher with nearly 20 years of experience in the pre-K through 12th-grade setting.
Learners will complete one artwork weekly based on the element of art we are discussing, which could take varying amounts of time depending on what the learner decides to create. They will also share their process and work and provide each other with feedback.

Learners will be assessed through the completion of their finished artwork, their responses to class discussions, and their feedback to be given to each other.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Learners may need some supervision with materials, depending on what the learner chooses to use to complete their artwork.
