Elementary Math 1:1 Tutoring: Magnificent Mathematicians
This 45 minute, ongoing class will provide one on one math tutoring for students in gr. 1 - 5. Each session is tailored specifically for the learner's needs and will be interactive with games, virtual manipulatives, and fun.

Beginner - Advanced Level
These one on one sessions will be tailored to student needs, closing gaps or accelerating learning levels within mathematics. Each session will employ interactive activities, virtual manipulatives, games, puzzles, and direct instruction. We will move from concrete to abstract, using a variety of strategies and applications to make math real to students. My teaching style avoids memorization of facts and focuses on a deeper understanding of math concepts. The first class will be a formative needs assessment. After that assessment, I will provide parents with a plan of action that outlines strength and weaknesses. Students will be encouraged to use a variety of strategies for problem solving.
Learning Goals
Students will be "met where they are" and learn to self-assess and use what works for them. Learning outcomes will be determined after the initial meeting with the student and parent so that they focus on each child's specific needs.

Learning Needs
Strategies are included for English Language Learners, reading comprehension as applied to mathematics, as well as problem solving strategies for students with dyscalculia and other challenges. Activities will also assist students with ADHD
