THIS IS A SEMESTER LONG CLASS AND STUDENTS CAN LEAVE AT ANY TIME. Each week we will cover the scientific background including, habitat, eating habits, interesting facts and lifestyle of a different animal. The course will be highly interactive and will incorporate interactive student activities into the class. Students will be taken on a virtual journey to see the animals “live” either at a zoo, aquarium or wildlife sanctuary. I work hard to provide a positive, educational and fun classroom experience for each student. The class will begin with basic information and lead in to the interactive activities which will include games and live video clips. A worksheet will be provided with each week’s lesson. Hello there!
I love teaching students of all ages! I have over 20 years experience teaching students ranging in age from 4 to college level students. I strive to create a fun and engaging classroom where each student is eager to learn and participate. My mission is to make learning enjoyable and memorable.
My areas of expertise are communications and public speaking, but I love teaching science and animal related courses and helping students work on their reading skills. I currently travel around the country doing test prep classes for high school students.
I also have a passion for teaching younger students how to read. I have my ESL certification, a BS in Communications from the University of Tennessee and a MA in Business Management from Tusculum University.
I live in beautiful East Tennessee with my husband Chris, one bunny, three golden doodles and a yorkie!
