Introduction to Story eElements (Plot, Setting, Characters, Conflict)
 Students will be able to analyze the structure of a story and how individual elements interact.

Identifying Themes and Analyzing How They Develop Over the Course of a Text
 Students will be able to determine themes and understand their development.

Identifying Main Ideas and Supporting Details in Nonfiction
 Students will be able to analyze main ideas and structure in informational texts.

Lesson 4:
Examining How Text Structure (e.g., Compare/Contrast, etc) Affects Meaning
 Students will be able to understand how text features and structures contribute to the text’s overall meaning.
