This course is designed to introduce children to the treble clef staff and start them on their way to note reading. Week 1 - We will be introduced to the staff and treble clef. We will draw a treble clef and discover how many lines and spaces a staff has. Week 2 - We now know that notes "live" on the lines and in the spaces, so we will learn the names of the space notes. Note naming games will help us remember letter names. Week 3 - We will cover the names of the notes on the lines. ...
Students will learn about the treble clef staff and become familiar with notes from middle C up to high F.
In my years of teaching music, I have come to develop fun and engaging ways for students to learn how to read notes on a staff. Note reading is tremendously important when it comes to learning how to play a musical instrument. When a student is able to read with confidence, they can focus on the instrument and their technique.
Staff paper, pencil
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
