Students will vote on which poetry style they want to learn and write about. If time permits, they may be able to write 2 poems. They will see examples of the poem structure. We will write a poem together as a class. Then, they will write their own poem. The learners will learn spelling strategies as well. Then, they will get started writing their final copy of their poem as well as their card! The learners will be given a chance to share their poems and get to know knew friends in a fun environment!

Supply List
Pencil, writing paper, a white blank paper, construction paper (for a card or any other material that can make a card) and any other materials for decorating a card (markers, colored pencils, crayons, glitter glue)

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
