Your student loves Minecraft, so use it as a tool to learn! The course instructor has over 15 years of experience as a professional educator using technology tools as a motivator for learning and currently holds active teaching licenses in the states of Texas and Nevada.
Homework Offered
The Minecraft building portion of the course is considered homework. Each course participant will have multiple tasks to create builds in Minecraft based on the theme of the lessons. Screenshots can be posted in the online classroom to be viewed by the course instructor for feedback. No grade values such as A, B, C, etc. will be given.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Quizzes for reading comprehension and science topics are offered in many of the course lessons. The Outschool system does not include a gradebook so no official record of points earned will be kept. To see scores earned from each quiz the learner and/or parent will be able to view the number of correct responses after each quiz is submitted.Grades Offered
Grades for individual lessons and/or the overall course will not be awarded. A certificate of completion can be downloaded as part of the final lesson.
A Minecraft account must be purchased by the learner and is not included in the course fee. Any and all versions of Minecraft are acceptable.
